Witnessing for MS CB " (amd. 2, rev. 3 ), developed in accordance with the requirements of the document of the International Accreditation Forum IAF MD 16 and IAF MD 17, in order to assess the competence of the personnel of management systems certification bodies (hereinafter referred to as MS CB), covers the scope of accreditation with witness assessments
According to the terms of the Post-Accreditation Agreement (subclause 14 clause 2.2), the accredited CAB is obliged to provide the Accreditation Body with a witness assessment, as well as provide other necessary assistance.
Please note that according to the mandatory requirements of clause 7.5.6 of the international document IAF MD 16:2015 "Application of ISO/IEC 17011 for the Accreditation of Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) Certification Bodies" MS CBs accredited for work on certification of food safety management systems shall witness assessment in the "Food and feed production (C+D)" cluster according to Annex A of ST RK ISO/TS 22003-2017 annually.
In accordance with the requirements of the document of the international accreditation forum IAF MD 16, IAF MD 17, based on the information from the presented planned audits of the MS CB, NCA has the right to offer the provision of witness assessments for certain customers of the MS CB, the type of activity of which corresponds to the IAF codes, not covered by witness assessments.
In this regard, the NCA will send notifications to each MS CB about the need to provide a witness assessment for certain codes and IAF customers, having considered which the MS CB shall provide consent or a reasoned refusal to conduct a witness assessment.
The results of the exchange of information between the NCA and MS CBs are necessary for fixing in the programs the coverage of scopes of accreditation that will be taken into account when granting re-accreditation, thus these results will be the basis for granting accreditation for the requested scope of accreditation or reducing the scope of accreditation.
